The original Estancia Atamisque was built in the mid 17th century - now owned by a Frenchman, John Du Monceau, and his wife, Chantal, whose grandfather had been a winemaker in Burgundy, the modern winery has quickly become a visual icon of the region for its beautiful slate roof, crafted in the architectural style of the French and Italian Alps. With lots of lovely rich plum fruit, gentle oak and soft, sleek tannins, this is a really appealing style of Merlot.
