It's been 65 years since
Gucci's first loafer was created, and so it's no surprise that its latest, the
Etoile, is just as much a homage to jet-setting, laidback luxury as it ever was. Crafted in Italy to a traditional slipper-cut, leather has been replaced by sumptuous velvet and nods to the ostentatious don't stop there. At the toe, there's a flourish of faux-pearl and crystal embellishments, underlined with their infamous grosgrain ribbon.
