Made by the eponymous winemaking maestro and surfing enthusiast Duncan
Savage, this syrah is sourced from an organically-farmed granite-soil vineyard in Stellenbosch, in a cooler location that allows the vines to be expressive without being overbearingly alcoholic. The resulting tipple is aged for 13 months in French oak barrels before maturing for a further nine months, producing a supple, voluptuous beverage with a ripe damson-bramble palate, fragrant white pepper notes, and silky tannins.
