Changyu was founded in 1892 by a Chinese expat called Zhang Bishi, aided by an Austrian viticulturalist, Freiherr von Babo. It is both the oldest and the largest winery in China, with six premises in different provinces, and is also, perhaps a little surprisingly, one of the top ten biggest wine producers in the world. This
Cabernet d'Est is medium bodied in style, with round tannins, dark fruits and a spicy, pepper note.
