Common Projects

Common Projects was founded in 2004 when Prathan Poopat and Flavio Girolami discovered a mutual desire for a new type of shoe. They both sought a trainer that would tick the box of smart casual. It needed to be sleek enough to wear at work, and with slim clothes, while keeping the much-loved relaxed conventions of a trainer. After combining their knowledge and expertise, they launched Common Projects to fill this gap for men and women.

Have a look through the collection to see that minimalism is the overarching theme, with understated silhouettes and a neutral colour palette at its core. There are monochromatic styles in black and grey as well as those finished with subtle pops of tonal shades.

The white trainer is a Common Projects hero piece – and we're all in agreement that every person needs a pair. The beauty of this design is that it really does go with everything and it outlives any seasonal development. Throughout our selection, the focus is on quality, with Common Projects leather designs built from sturdy but supple leather and buttery suede. Small details – such as contrast stitching and the signature gold-stamped serial number on the heel panel – are luxury touches.
