Over a century ago Aurelio López Rosales, the founder of Herradura, was out inspecting his agave fields when a glint of gold captured his attention. It was a horseshoe that had caught the light and Aurelio was inspired to give the Mexican name for horseshoe to his excellent tequila. This smooth, clean tequila is aged for 45 days to add a hint of color and oak to its tangy citrus character, which brings more agave flavor and unparalleled pleasure to a margarita.
