LOAKE

Invest in heritage craftsmanship with Loake. The brand's genesis was in 1880 when the three Loake brothers, John, William and Thomas, opened their first footwear factory in Kettering, Northamptonshire. Today the business, handed down through five generations, continues to make shoes in the very same British market town, using its original handmade methods. Patience, meticulousness and incredible skill make each pair durable and reliable – ideal for everyday wear.

Supple leather is the starting point for our collection. It's carefully cut to avoid the inclusion of flaws and marks from the natural material, then skived to reduce bulkiness. The result? A streamlined, lightweight feel. You'll find styles burnished in black and brown, with clean lines and intricate detailing. For added comfort, a layer of cork is stitched between the welt and insole, allowing the shoe to mould to your foot.

For a classic finish, choose a pair of brogues from our Loake Selfridges selection. Cut-out eyelets and scalloped layers bring a flourish to your formal footwear. After a more relaxed look? Slip on a pair of Loake leather loafers with neat front tassels and a woven effect around the cuff. Both feature sturdy block heels to support your feet, wherever the day may take you.
