You can trace the traditional recipe for Pfeffernüsse right back to the 1850s; it’s a European treat that has stuck around for its sweet and lightly spiced flavour. Each moreish biscuit is seasoned with cinnamon and coated in a layer of icing (like a fresh blanket of snow) – just the kind of snack we’d leave out for Santa.
