Indulge in the rich, delicious taste of
Mortlach's Rare Old single malt, a super-premium spirit combining bourbon and sherry cask-matured
whisky for a sweet yet strong and spicy dram. Nestled in Speyside's spiritual heartland, Dufftown, the Mortlach distillery was founded in 1823, the year of the Excise Act, and has the honour of being the first legal distillery to be built there. This excellent whisky has a powerful bouquet of hazelnuts, cinnamon, candied fruit and floral touches, offset by dryer, leafier notes. Initial notes are thick and oily, with dark chocolate, liquorice, cherries, dark wood and biscuits, while lingering flavours include spicy cinnamon, raisins and cherries.
