Often overlooked in favour of Argentina and Chile, Uruguay has a long winemaking history, and the quality of the wines made here are beginning to come to light. Made from the Tannat grape, usually found in South West France, this is a full bodied and fruit driven example, with notes of blackcurrant, elderberry, sweet spice and a touch of oak.
