• Courvoiseir has enjoyed a prestigious history which began in 1811 when Napoleon visited their warehouses. Legend has it that Napoleon I later took several barrels of cognac with him to St Helena, a treat much appreciated by the English officers on the ship who named it "The Cognac of Napoleon”. This link has been maintained by the house itself, who have named this fine champagne cognac after the Emperor itself. Aged for approximately 20 years, this shows lovely notes of sandalwood, dried stone fruits and a savoury, almost truffle like character.
