The wines of Jura are becoming increasingly popular, as people begin to realise that some fantastic wines are produced in this relatively small, little heralded area.
Julien Labet is one of the rising stars of the region, and makes some truly distinctive wines. This
Savagnin is “topped up” with 10-15% of botrytised grapes from a parcel of 0.5ha planted in 2003. Very intense nose of hazelnut and warm stone with a hint of lemon. Lovely and fresh in the mouth, with some notes of saffron, cream and a touch of salt and lemon on the finish.
