Architect and interior designer Alexander Girard was a leading figure in postwar American design, alongside Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson. His collection of <b>Wooden Dolls</b> were designed and made by <b>Girard</b> for his own home in 1953, and were inspired by his vast personal collection of South American folk art.
