Architect and interior designer Alexander Girard was a leading figure in postwar American design, alongside Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson. His collection of Wooden Dolls were designed and made by Girard for his own home in 1953, and were inspired by his vast personal collection of South American folk art. Today, lovingly re-created by Vitra, they're available for anyone looking to add a charming, whimsical note to their own home.
