Now a silent distillery, the whisky crafted at Karuizawa – a Japanese town on the slopes of an active volcano – is a rare find. One of only 225 bottles, this 18 year-old single-malt is part of the highly collectible and coveted Geisha collection, a whisky matured solely in sherry casks (cask 2339 to be exact) to earn its intense flavour. Cleanse the palate after a meal, slowly sipping to pick up on each and every note in the dram.
