This 1981 whisky spent more than thirty years in sherry cask number 6056 at
Karuizawa’s distillery in Japan. Closed for almost a decade, the company has become the stuff of legend and its spirits are well-known as the world’s rarest. Sweet on the nose with a hint of liquorice, this single malt has a rich palate of ginger and dark fruits, lingering with notes of dark chocolate and spice. A weighty whisky that deserves to be savoured.
