The Beauty Insider:

The new exclusives you don't want to miss

The magic wand of make-up

Dubbed a ‘trusted miracle stick that is the solution to help cover skin issues’ by the make-up artist herself, this nifty little pen concealer by Charlotte Tilbury promises to help reduce the appearance of dark circles, pigmentation, redness and blemishes in one swipe. “Instead of settling into fine lines, this concealer acts more like a thin veil that blurs everything at once,” says Selfridges Beauty Buyer Rachel Hill. “It’s also water-resistant, lasts for up to 15 hours and comes in 16 shades.” Sign us up.

The limited edition eyeshadow palette

Urban Decay is the brand to reach for when you want wearable colours, a quality formula, and, yes, brilliant pigment. And the new Aphrodisiac palette lives up to the hype: “Sporting a mix of silky-smooth mattes and intense shimmers, in six complementary rosy-gold shades, it’s the perfect pocket-sized palette to give eyes an instant update,” says Hill.

The lash extension in a tube

Known for its risqué product names, the new NARS Climax Mascara (pun very much intended) is creating quite the beauty buzz. Why? Because while most mascaras limit you to one, two, maybe three strokes (if you’re lucky) before the product begins to clump, NARS’ latest lengthening mascara lets you keep going and going until you’ve hit peak lash volume. “The wand doesn’t look anything out of the ordinary, but as soon as you swipe on the intensely pigmented formula, you’ll be impressed,” says Hill. “After three coats, my lashes were thick, dark, defined and long.”

The foundation for every skin tone

We know how tricky it is to find the perfectly matched foundation, which is why we’re pretty chuffed with the latest shade additions to the (always brilliant) MAC Studio Fix line-up. With more than 60 shades available (20 of which are new and exclusive to us), this is one of the most nuanced ranges out there, thanks to its variations of cool, neutral, neutral-cool, and neutral-warm foundation tones.

The camo-inspired make-up collection

Rich hues and metallic pigments make the most of the new Bobbi Brown Camo Luxe make-up collection, while textures run from velvety-matte to statement-making sparkle. The standout product? "It has to be the Camo Luxe Eye & Cheek Palette", says Hill "which boasts six matte and metallic eyeshadows and a highlighting powder featuring reflective pearl pigments.”

The moisturising matte lippie

A moisturising matte is a rare thing but Giorgio Armani’s new Rouge Matte Lipsticks tick all the boxes when it comes to both comfort and colour payoff. “The collection offers 16 of the most universally flattering shades and glides on like your favourite balm would,” says Selfridges Beauty Buyer Adella Family. “Plus, contrary to what matte sceptics think, the formula doesn’t dry out and lasts for hours without cracking.”
