Pull up to our buffet, baby

Grace Jones: muse, actress, music icon and all-in-all total badass. Yes, if there’s one guest we’d like to bump into at our buffet table of cold cuts and English trifle, it’s Grace. But what might be on her rock’n’roll rider for the night? Bold make-up shades and fragrances as unique and intoxicating as the violet liqueur she holds with perfect poise, we say. After all, isn’t the woman who famously partied at Studio 54 deserving of some scene-stealing luxuries? Now we think on it, maybe a finger buffet might not quite cut it…

I can be a pain, but most of all, I can be a pleasure.

– Grace Jones (whose music is always a pleasure to our ears)

At home with the Osbourne

Who better to regale us with wild tales from the road than The Prince of Darkness himself? And with Ozzy Osbourne about to turn 70, we think this veritable rock god deserves a suitably decadent dish of studded accessories (thanks Alexander McQueen), his 145th pair of round sunglasses (every frontman needs a signature accessory, right?), and for after dinner? A jar of our Chocolate Rock Studs: delicious, shimmering, and ever so slightly more palatable than bat heads.

You gotta be really careful what you bite off. Don’t bite off more than you can chew.

– Ozzy Osbourne (offering wise words for both life, indigestion and bat eating, we imagine.)

Here comes the fun

While Van Halen’s infamous backstage rider request for a bowl of M&Ms with all the brown coloured ones removed may well have meant they didn’t make the list for our dream dinner party (we’re busy people, OK guys?), we’d be happy to kit out Ringo Starr with our Chocolate & Mint Drumsticks. There he’d be, tap, tapping away as Grace Jones puts up the tinsel and Ozzy hangs Ringo’s prized drum kit bauble on the tree. A picture more heart-warming than David Bowie and Bing Crosby singing carols by the piano. Bless.

For women who rock

Joan Jett, founder of The Runaways and frontwoman of Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, famously sang she’s never given a damn about her ‘bad reputation’ – making her our ultimate idol for fearless (and seriously stylish) women in rock’n’roll. So if Ozzy starts yawning and Ringo simply refuses to stop drumming on the table, we’d rely on Joan to rally the guys, raise a glass of Champagne and amp up the celebrations once more. And the gift for her efforts? Her statement black eyeliner, a gothic print scarf and accessories with a rebellious edge. Thanks Joan – you’re a legend.

At a very young age, I decided I was not going to follow ‘women’s’ rules.

– Joan Jett (rock’n’roll’s coolest feminist? We’d say so.)
