The rarest of all Krug champagnes, Clos d'Ambonnay is the product of a single walled vineyard in the village of Ambonnay. In this supremely elegant champagne the characteristic structure and refinement of Ambonnay's Pinot Noir grapes are elevated by the house's legendary craftsmanship and long years of ageing in the cellars. It has an intense copper–gold colour and a rich, creamy bouquet with distinctive hints of ripe fruit and fresh toasted brioche. On the palate, it develops a magnificent harmony of freshness and fullness, vibrancy and maturity, culminating in a lingering, elegant finish.
