Regis Camut, the wine maker at Piper-Heidsieck, has won winemaker of the year at the International wine awards in London in 2004 and again in 2007. The care and attention he puts into the Champagnes culminates in the blending of Cuvée Rare. Mainly made from chardonnay from the Montagne de Reims, this Champagne is rich and pure with biscuits, floral notes and apple on the palate.
