This history of this rum starts with a Germans move to Trinidad and his 'Siegert’s Special Bouquet Rum' infused with the aroma of bitters that is now famously known as Angostura bitters. Angostura 1824 Limited Reserve is a blend of the finest mature rums, hand-picked by the master blender from select casks. These rums are aged in charred American oak bourbon barrels for a minimum of 12 years and then skilfully hand-blended. Blackcurrant, vanilla, some tropical fruits come through on the nose; on the palate cinnamon, brown sugar and all things nice.
