This Perrier–Jouet Champagne is all about elegance and finesse with a touch of fruit to bring out its colour. The floral signature is offset by subtle berry notes of wild strawberries and raspberries. A dry, hot year, 2002 yielded expressive, elegant wines. It provided ideal weather for concentrated, exceptionally mature fruit of a balanced richness. Lightly chilled this champagne makes a lovely summer aperitif, though any fish dish would be equally perfect in combination.
