Coume del Mas is located in Coullure at the edge of the Roussillon at the Southern tip of France. Bordered by the Mediterranean and the mountain range of the Pyrenées which provides the schistous soil that gives the wines their destinctive character. This cuvée has a traditional blend of grapes – 50 per cent grenache, 30 per cent mourvedre, 20 per cent carignan. These are from high altitude old vines with concentrated, low yield fruit. The wine is full of dark inky fruit, vanilla, coffee with rich olive notes on the finish.
