The wild ones

Using sun-drenched Mexico as our backdrop, we’re shifting to a new-season mindset that embraces all things rebellious, eclectic and free-spirited. With our tie-dyed T-shirts, shredded-up denim, breezy prairie dresses and dust-kicking cowboy boots packed up and ready to go, we’re well prepared for a blue-skied spring/summer 2019.

The breeziness of a loose-fitting prairie dress is just the ticket for those of us (aka everyone) who need something summery in our wardrobes that’s both pretty and practical.

There’s no trend quite so synonymous with the free-spirited, peace-sign-throwing vibe than tie-dye. MSGM, Paco Rabanne and Stella McCartney (among many others) used the dyeing technique to add bursts of kaleidoscopic colour to their collections this season, and we’re all for it.

Shredded-up, acid-washed, and rough around the edges – this season’s iterations of the blue stuff is proof that denim’s always a good idea.

We’re not shying away from standing out from the crowd this season, and with good reason: graphic stripes from Mary Katrantzou, JW Anderson and Olivia Rubin pack a real punch.

A little bit country, a little bit rock’n’roll. Yep, we’ll be here, kicking up the dust in a great pair of cowboy boots and embracing double denim until the sun goes down.
