The Selfridges Account Card
As a Selfridges account cardholder you'll be the first to know about what's going on in our stores. You'll receive an exclusive newsletter with your statement each month, telling you about the hottest products, the coolest looks and the latest special offers. You'll also receive an extra 10% off during special Sale discount days* and find yourself invited to all sorts of special events like fashion shows and beauty events.

The Selfridges Account is subject to status, applicants must be aged 18 or over and a UK resident. Typical APR 27.7% (variable).

If you clear your card in full every month, you won't pay any interest on your purchases. And depending on when your card is used, there'll be no interest to pay for up to 51 days. As there's not even an annual fee for membership, your card could end up costing you nothing at all.
Details of Account
Each month you'll be sent a detailed statement showing all purchases and payments made. We'll put the outstanding balance at the bottom, along with details of the minimum payment requires (the greater of five pounds or 5%).
We'll let you know your credit limit once your account application is accepted. If you want to up your limit at any point, then call our Customer Services Team and they'll be able to help (subject to status).

Payment Details
You can take the stress out of making your monthly payments by setting up direct debit. You can choose to make either the minimum payment or the full outstanding balance each month. To arrange your direct debit, simply call the Customer Service Centre on 0845 122 2503.
You can also make account payments in store by cash, cheque or debit card at the following locations:

Debit card payments can also be made by calling the Customer Service Centre on 0845 122 2503.
If you prefer to pay by cheque but can't get into store, simply fill in the payment slip from your monthly statement and use the pre-addressed envelope we send out with your statement. You should pay in enough time to allow seven days for your cheque to arrive.
Payment can also be made at any bank using the payment slip provided with your statement. There should be no handling fee at your own bank, when paying by cheque drawn on that Bank or any branch of Lloyds TSB Bank. You should allow four working days for your payment to reach us.

Is it possible to have a second card on my account?
If you want you can arrange for other members of your family (provided they're aged 18 or over), to have their own account card on your Selfridges Account. You'll find that having everything on one statement each month keeps things really simple.
The second cardholder must live at the same address as the main cardholder.
Can I use my Selfridges Account card in other stores?
Your Selfridges Account Card can be used in any stores displaying the DUET sign. If you're not sure which stores these are, then call Creation Financial Services Limited on 0845 122 2503.

Account payments can be made by debit card (excluding Electron or Solo), cash or cheque. You can also phone your debit card payment through on 020 7318 2310 (London only). Alternatively, you can call Creation Financial Services Limited on 0845 122 2503.
What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
If your card is lost or stolen, please let the Customer Service Centre know immediately on 0845 122 2503. We'll then cancel your card and send you a new one within 7 to 10 working days.
What are the basic requirements for opening an Account?
You need to be aged 18 or over, be a resident of the UK and have a bank or building society account based in the UK. We will also need proof of signature such as a driving licence or a credit or debit card (excluding Electron or Solo) and we may need proof of address if you have been at your present address for less than 3 years.

CREDIT CARD AGREEMENT REGULATED BY THE CONSUMER CREDIT ACT 1974

Between us, Creation Financial Services Limited of Chadwick House, Blenheim Court, Solihull B91 2AA and you, the Customer.
KEY FINANCIAL INFORMATION
Credit Limit: The Credit Limit (and any sub-Credit Limit referred to in clause 4) will be determined by us from time to time under the Agreement and notice of it will be given by us to you. Monthly Payments: Monthly payments of £5 or 5% of the Outstanding Balance from time to time, whichever is greater, payable within 21 days of the Statement Date. APR: 27.7% APR (variable) see assumptions in clause 8.
OTHER FINANCIAL INFORMATION
Interest: Promotional Purchase: An effective rate of 10.0% p.a. (variable).
Standard Purchase: An effective rate of 27.7% p.a. (variable).
Cash Advance: An effective rate of 27.7% p.a. (variable).
Interest: Interest on the average daily Outstanding Balance is calculated from the date of any Transaction or Charges on the Account, until payment to us in full. We will not charge interest on Standard Purchases shown on your Statement if you pay off the whole balance shown on that Statement, and on the Statement before, by the payment due date shown on your Statement. Interest is applied to your Account monthly on the date shown on your Statement.
Total charge for credit (when the Agreement is made): Interest in the sum of £208.16 (see assumptions in clause 8).
APR: In calculating the APR no account has been taken of any variation which may occur under the Agreement of the rate or amount of any item entering into that calculation. Such a variation will occur if we, at our discretion, for any valid reason, vary the interest rate or any charge or fee included in the total charge for credit. We will usually only vary the interest rate if there has been a change in the Bank of England Base Rate or a change in interest rates generally or in interest rates applying to unsecured credit. We will give you 7 days notice of any Interest rate change or by such other notice as may be permitted by law or code of practice and notice of any other variation in writing. In addition (with the exception of changes in interest rates), if any change is to your disadvantage, we will allow you to end this Agreement (in accordance with clauses 13 and 15) within 60 days of the date of the notice without requiring you to pay any increased Charges stated in the notice.
Allocation of your payment: We will allocate your payments to pay interest, costs, Charges, expenses, Cash Advances, Cash Advance Cheques, insurance premiums and Transactions in that order.

You have no right to cancel this Agreement under the Consumer Credit Act 1974, the Timeshare Act 1992 or the Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004.
IMPORTANT – READ THIS CAREFULLY TO FIND OUT ABOUT YOUR RIGHTS
The Consumer Credit Act 1974 lays down certain requirements for your protection, which should have been complied with when this agreement was made. If they were not, we cannot enforce this agreement without getting a court order. The Act also gives you a number of rights:
1) You can settle this agreement at any time by giving notice in writing and paying off the amount you owe under the agreement.
2) If you received unsatisfactory goods or services paid for under this agreement, apart from any bought with a cash loan, you may have a right to sue the supplier, us or both.
3) If the contract is not fulfilled, perhaps because the supplier has gone out of business, you may still be able to sue us.
If you would like to know more about your rights under the Act, contact either your local Trading Standards Department or your nearest Citizens’ Advice Bureau.
THEFT, LOSS OR MISUSE OF CARD
If your card is lost, stolen or misused by someone without your permission, you may have to pay up to £50 of any loss to us. If it is misused with your permission you will probably be liable for ALL losses. You will not be liable to us for losses which take place after you have told us about the theft, etc as long as you confirm this in writing within seven days.
MISSING PAYMENTS
Missing payments could have severe consequences and make obtaining credit more difficult.
1. Definitions In these terms and conditions
“Account” means the account opened by us in your name under this Agreement;
“Act” means the Consumer Credit Act 1974, as amended from time to time;
“Additional Cardholder” means a person nominated by you, and accepted by us, to whom we issue a Card;
“Advance” means monies lent by us to you under this Agreement, by payment to you or to the Additional Cardholder or by payment to another person or entity on your, or the Additional Cardholder's, behalf;
“ATM” means automated teller machine;
“Balance Transfer” means a transfer to the Account of an amount outstanding by you under an Agreement with another lender;
“Card” means a card issued by us to you and/or to an Additional Cardholder under this Agreement for use in connection with this Agreement and includes a replacement card issued by us under this Agreement from time to time;
“Cardholder” means the Customer under this Agreement;
“Card Number” means the number of the Card or of the Account or of this Agreement;
“Cash Advance” means and advance of monies made to you or on your behalf, or to an Additional Cardholder or on the Additional Cardholder's behalf, including but not limited to cash, Cash Advance Cheque, foreign currency, travellers’ cheques, prepayment of mobile telephone airtime through an ATM or cash related transactions such as gaming chips, on-line gambling and other forms of betting or lottery;
“Cash Advance Cheque” means a cheque for, or up to, a specified amount, which we may send to you or to an Additional Cardholder from time to time and which, when presented for payment, will be debited to the Account as a Cash Advance. (You may request to be excluded from selection for Cash Advance Cheques);
“Charges” means interest and other charges payable by you to us under this Agreement;
“Credit Limit” means the maximum debit balance or amount which may at any time be owing by you to us under this Agreement;
“DUET” means the network of retailers and other acceptors of the Card;
“Financial and Related Particulars” means the particulars so described at the head of these terms and conditions;
“Outstanding Balance” means all monies, interest charges, expenses and amounts owing by you to us from time to time under this Agreement and, in relation to any part of this Agreement, under that part of this Agreement;
“part of this Agreement” means any part of this Agreement as identified in the Financial and Related Particulars;
“PIN” means the personal identification number(s) and/or password(s) issued by us for use by you and/or an Additional Cardholder in connection with this Agreement;
“Promotional Purchase” means a Transaction (which can be made at one or more outlets as notified by us to you from time to time in writing) at an interest rate which is lower than the interest rate then applying to a Standard Purchase;
“Refund” means a monetary reimbursement (evidenced in writing) of a previous debit to the Account, whether or not the debit has already appeared on the Account or the Statement;
“Standard Purchase” means a Transaction which is not a Promotional Purchase;
“Statement” means a statement referred to in clause 11 and
“Statement Date” means the date of the Statement;
“this Agreement” means this multi-part agreement inclusive of all its parts and comprising the face of this agreement and these terms and conditions;
“Transaction” means a purchase of goods and/or services made or entered into by you or by an Additional Cardholder and in respect of which payment is made by use of the Card, or Card Number or, where permitted by us, by a PIN;
“We”/”Our”/”Us” means Creation Financial Services Limited and includes our successors and assigns;
“You”/”Your” means the Customer under this Agreement;
Words and expressions to which meanings have been given in the Financial and Related Particulars or which have been defined in this clause 1 shall have those meanings; words in the singular shall include the plural and vice versa and words in the masculine gender include the feminine gender. These terms and conditions apply to this Agreement and to each part of this Agreement. Headings are for convenience only and shall not affect the meaning of any provision.
2. Card
We agree to issue a Card to you for use under this Agreement. You must sign the Card as soon as it is received by you. The Card is and remains our property at all times and must be returned to us on request.
3. Additional Cardholder
We may agree to issue a Card to a person nominated by you as an Additional Cardholder. The Additional Cardholder must sign the Card on receipt. The provisions of this Agreement also apply to any Additional Cardholder. You must ensure that any Additional Cardholder keeps to the provisions of this Agreement. You are liable for all use made by the Additional Cardholder of the Card (including the PIN, the Card Number and this Agreement) and for all indebtedness incurred by the Additional Cardholder under this Agreement. This includes (but is not limited to) liability for Transactions made by the Additional Cardholder, and Cash Advances made to, the Additional Cardholder. If you wish us to issue an Additional Card, you must send us a request in writing signed by you and by the proposed Additional Cardholder. We may decline to issue a Card to a person nominated by you without stating a reason.
4. Credit Limit
We will decide at our discretion on the amount of credit we allow you and will notify you in writing of the Credit Limit which applies to this Agreement and to each part of this Agreement. We will notify you of changes to your Credit Limit in writing from time to time. The Credit Limit (and, for the avoidance of doubt, the Credit Limit applying to any part of this Agreement) may not at any time be exceeded.
5. Use of the Card and Account
You, and any Additional Cardholder, may use the Card for Transactions at any outlet which displays the LINK or DUET sign or in any other way we may permit. We will notify you in writing from time to time of outlets which display the DUET sign or are generally willing to accept the Card for Transactions. The Card may be used for Transactions in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man (subject to variation by notice by us from time to time in accordance with clause 19).
You, and any Additional Cardholder, may use the Card to obtain Cash Advances in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands or Isle of Man (subject to variation by notice by us from time to time in accordance with clause 19) at any ATM, building society, other lender or outlet, displaying the LINK or DUET sign. You may also obtain Cash Advances in store where such facilities are available to Cardholders or Additional Cardholders, or by telephoning us. Cash Advances will be subject to such minimum and maximum Credit Limits as we may notify to you in writing from time to time. LINK or Travelex will convert foreign currency transactions (including Euros) into Sterling at the exchange rate set by LINK or Travelex (as appropriate) on the date the Cash Advance is processed. We will also charge a commission for the currency conversion. Commission for the currency conversion will be at the rate in force from time to time.
The Card and Account may only be used for private and not business purposes and may only be used during the period of its validity, as stated on the Card.
We will not be liable if any establishment or ATM fails or refuses to allow you or an Additional Cardholder to use the Card.
6. Your Account
We will set up an Account in your name and we will debit it with the amount of all Transactions (including, without limitation, Standard Purchases and Promotional Purchases), Cash Advances, insurance premiums (if relevant) and interest, costs, Charges, expenses and other amounts owing or payable by you to us under this Agreement. We will debit 'other Charges' shown in the Financial and Related Particulars on the date of the relevant Transaction and the annual account fee (if any) on each anniversary commencing on the date notified to you in writing. We will credit to the Account all payments received from you under this Agreement and any Refund we may permit.
7. Monthly payment
You are liable to pay to us the Outstanding Balance under this Agreement. Subject to our rights, and your obligations, under this Agreement you must pay to us at least the monthly payment shown in your monthly Statement, namely 5% of the Outstanding Balance under this Agreement, or £5 (whichever is greater), by the date shown in the Statement. Prompt payment is essential. The monthly payment has been calculated on the assumption that we will appropriate it towards the discharge of, and in the following order: Proportionate reduction of interest under all parts of this Agreement; our costs, Charges and expenses under all parts of this Agreement; Cash Advances (including travellers cheques and foreign currency), Cash Advance Cheques, insurance premiums (if relevant); and Transactions. Without affecting our rights and your obligations under this Agreement, you may allocate any payment which is insufficient to discharge the total amount then due to such part (or parts) of this Agreement as you deem fit.
8. Interest
We will charge interest on the Outstanding Balance under this Agreement (and each part of this Agreement) on a daily basis at the interest rate applicable to the relevant part of this Agreement, as stated in the Financial and Related Particulars (as varied by us from time to time). Except as stated in clause 8 below interest will be calculated from the date of the relevant Transaction or Cash Advance until payment to us of the Outstanding Balance under the relevant part of this Agreement.
We will not charge interest on the amount of any Transaction shown on the Statement if the debit balance in respect of the same, as shown in the Statement, is paid in full by the date specified in the monthly Statement immediately following its first debit. In all other cases interest will be charged on a daily basis on the Outstanding Balance under this Agreement (including any Transactions and Cash Advance not appearing on that Statement) until payment to us in full. Interest will not accrue on any credit balance on the Account. You may request immediate repayment of any credit balance on the Account.
The total charge for credit and APR are calculated on the assumptions that credit of £1500 is provided in full on and for a period of one year from the date of this Agreement; the interest rate is that relating to Standard Purchases; and the credit is repaid in 12 equal instalments and at monthly intervals, beginning one month after the date of this Agreement.
9. Insurance
If you have contracted for any insurance through us, and have agreed to pay the premium to us, then you must pay the premium with your monthly mayment to us by the due date each month or as otherwise required. We will forward the premium payment to the insurer. If you fail to pay any premium either we or the insurer may write to you giving you notice of cancellation of the relevant insurance.
10. Loss or misuse of Card, PIN or Card Number
You and any Additional Cardholder must keep the Card, PIN and Card Number in a safe place at all times and not let any unauthorised person know the PIN or Card Number. If the Card, Card Number or PIN is lost, stolen or likely to be misused by someone who has obtained it without your consent, you must immediately notify us by telephoning CREATION FINANCIAL SERVICES LIMITED on 0845 122 2503 and confirm this to us in writing within seven days by writing to: The Customer Service Centre, Creation Financial Services Limited, Chadwick House, Blenheim Court, Solihull B91 2AA.
We may require you to assist the police with their investigation and recovery of the Card. You authorise us to provide appropriate information to any relevant person in connection with the loss, theft or possible misuse of the Card, Card Number or PIN.
If your, or an Additional Cardholder's Card, or the PIN or Card Number is misused before you notify us as above, you will only have to pay us up to £50 for misuse. If you or an Additional Cardholder consent to, or permit, the Card, PIN or Card Number to be misused or act fraudulently or with gross negligence, you may be liable for ALL losses. If any Card which has been reported to us in the above circumstances is found, it must not be used but must immediately be returned to us, cut in two.
11. Statements
We will send you Statements of your Account for each month in which there is an Outstanding Balance under this Agreement and otherwise at such intervals as may be required by law.
12. If you break this Agreement
If you fail to make prompt payment of the monthly payment or break any other term of this Agreement or if we have reasonable grounds to believe that you or an Additional Cardholder has committed, or is about to commit, a criminal offence in connection with this Agreement, or if you are declared bankrupt or take steps to enter into a compromise with your creditors or in the event of your death, we shall be entitled to:
a) end, restrict or suspend your right, and/or that of any Additional Cardholder, to use the Card; and/or
b) subject to serving on you any notice required by law, end this Agreement (and, for the avoidance of doubt, each part of this Agreement).
13. Your right to end this Agreement
Subject to your obligations under clause 15, you may at any time end this Agreement or any part of this Agreement by giving us notice in writing which may take effect immediately.
14. Our right to end this Agreement
We may at any time end this Agreement by giving you at least one month's written notice.
15. Consequences of ending this Agreement
If you or we end this Agreement under any of clauses 12, 13 or 14, you must immediately;
a) pay to us the Outstanding Balance under this Agreement (and, for the avoidance of doubt, the Outstanding Balance under each part of this Agreement);
b) cease using the Card, Card Number and PIN and ensure that the Additional Cardholder immediately ceases using the Card, Card Number and PIN; and
c) return to us all Cards cut in two.
16. Expenses and Charges You agree to pay us on demand all our reasonable costs, Charges and expenses, together with all reasonable legal costs incurred by us in enforcing our rights under this Agreement. You agree to pay to us on demand our reasonable fees and Charges arising out of any defaults by you under this Agreement in accordance with the tariff shown below as varied by us from time to time. Fees for unpaid payments, cheques and Direct Debits: £10; fee for one missed payment: £10; fee for two or more missed payments: £22; fee for exceeding the Credit Limit: £10.
