The Creative Director of
Alexander McQueen, Sarah Burton, is a true northerner – she was born in the town of Macclesfield, Cheshire, after all. For the label’s Pre-Fall 19 show, the designer sought to unite elements of British subcultures, as you can see from this crepe jacket which pays tribute to the 50s teddy girls. Carved out with peak lapels, it’s shaped with padded shoulders and pockets, making it one for belting up with suit trousers and ankle boots.
