Literally translating from Chinese to “white liquor”, Baijiu’s history stretches back to 200AD. Distilled from a mix of sorghum, wheat, rice, sticky rice and corn in various quantities, the Kweichow Moutai spirit is blended to create the Wuliangye dubbed the magic liquor of China. Swirling with peppery notes, the flavour is mellow shimmering with hints of juicy pineapple and salty liquorice on the palate. Serve neat on the side of cold dishes during a meal while you ring in the Year of the Pig.
