The first time
Gucci unveiled the Flora motif that now adorns the
Jordaan loafers, it was on a silk scarf commissioned in the 60s for Princess Grace of Monaco. It’s been reinvented several times since that original piece; the latest is printed across canvas, moulded into an equally familiar almond-toed design. There was only one way this Italian house could sign off such a style – with a brushed horsebit.
