This particular malt uses the 18th century art of drying malting barley over peat fires – earning it a distinctive smoky flavour. A sweetness wafts through the nose, with hints of well-baked apple crumble. Sweetened by vanilla, it’s topped up with peaty vegetal notes, light spice and honeysuckle on the palate.
