Hand-harvested to be gentle to the grapes and maximise their flavour, the CVNE Asua Crianza is aromatic and complex. This 2016 Rioja expression – swirling with riper fruit due to a warm vintage – spent 14 months in French and American oak before being bottled and left to mature for 6 months. The resulting bouquet is rich with dry black fruit, hints of spice and a light toastiness, balanced with structured tannins that are silkily smooth on the palate.
