Achille Castiglioni began his career as an architect and designer, creating Alessi’s first cutlery collection dubbed Dry in 1982. Expanding on the range’s minimalist style preferences, this cake server is crafted from shiny stainless steel that transforms to a matte finish on the handle that reaches out form one side of the base. A little off-kilter, yes, but practical too, chiming with the late designer’s penchant for solving those problems that occur while “being at the table”.
