Ever since the early 80s, Rei Kawakubo has sought to break down social constructs and reinvent the way we view gendered fashion. For SS20,
Comme des Garçons Homme Plus crafts these shorts from cotton-jersey, with a plethora of subtle stripes zipping up and down their length. Inspired by Edwardian frock coats and pinafores, they’re then ruffled down either side to reflect the models’ bobbed wigs. We’re calling it a transgression of traditional style.
