Max Mara was founded in 1951 by Achille Maramotti, inspired by the somewhat new revelation of a "working woman", the designer began crafting coats, blazers and trousers to cater for her. In 2022, however, times have evolved; girl bosses need breaks too. Cue: the Giano midi dress, spun up by the Italian label in breezy cotton to a cloud-like silhouette with dropped shoulders and dolman sleeves. We reckon it’s suited to any office escape, from brunch to beach.
