The Bard of the Street

by Mary McCartney

As part of Shakespeare reFASHIONed, we commissioned world-renowned photographer Mary McCartney to shoot an urban reimagining of Shakespeare’s works.

A short film, set to an exclusive track by south-east London spoken-word star James Massiah, accompanies McCartney’s series of compelling photographs. All the clothing featured – except Bottom’s donkey head – comes from the new Designer Studio at Selfridges Oxford Street, London, a striking new destination that fuses the worlds of fashion, art and retail.
