The word spectacular is often overused – but not so when it comes to the Pegasus. Created especially for Brasserie of Light, this 24ft crystal-embellished sculpture is London’s largest-scale artwork by Damien Hirst. Just remember to stop staring before your food gets cold.

It wouldn’t be a great restaurant without great cocktails, and Brasserie of Light definitely knows how to make a drink that’s filled to the brim with imagination. Whether we’re sat at the bar or enjoying an aperitif before dinner, you’ll find us weighing up the virtues of The Queen of Time (an ode to the sculpture above our Oxford Street Entrance) or the Est. 1909 (celebrating the year we first opened our doors)… and then ordering both.

From scallops with red peppers, roasted fennel and capers to start, to spaghetti with lobster as a main course and Pegasus Pie served with a yuzu coconut cloud for dessert – the menu at Brasserie of Light offers creative flavours to suit every palate. And what’s even better, it’s open from 8am on weekdays for pre-work breakfasts, right through to midnight for celebrations you just don’t want to end. 

Special celebration or event on the cards? Then book the Pegasus Room – a beautiful Art Deco space which sits up to 14 guests, or hosts 30 for drinks and canapés. Adorned with bevelled antique mirror panels, with bespoke Art Deco chairs and a polished parquet floor, the scene is set for a party to remember…
