Selfridges joins The Fashion Pact at G7 Summit

As part of our Buying Better, Inspiring Change commitment, Selfridges and the wider Selfridges Group of department stores (including Brown Thomas and Arnotts in Ireland, Holt Renfrew in Canada and de Bijenkorf in the Netherlands) have signed the Fashion Pact – a new initiative that aims to create a more sustainable future for the fashion industry.

The Fashion Pact is being launched today, Friday 23 August, by French President Emmanuel Macron and is led by François-Henri Pinault, CEO of Kering Group. Made up of major global brands and retailers, The Fashion Pact offers the opportunity for the Selfridges Group to join forces with other key players in the industry to drive positive change.

Simon Forster, Managing Director of Selfridges said: “Our involvement in this is a further sign of our commitment to sustainability and reinforces our Buying Better, Inspiring Change approach, which underpins our Selfridges Strategy and that of the wider Selfridges Group."
