  • The health and wellbeing of Selfridges customers and team members is our top priority and, as has been the case throughout the pandemic, we will continue to follow UK government guidance and advice. From 24 September, all Selfridges team members working in store must wear a face covering. Customers are also be required to wear face coverings when visiting any Selfridges store.

  • To ensure customers are reminded of the new requirements, clear signage will be in place outside each Selfridges store advising that the wearing of a face covering is essential, in line with government guidance. Hosts will also be on hand at each entrance to advise customers on the mandatory usage of a face covering before they enter the store. If and when needed, Security will also be present to safely enforce this.

The length of the quarantine and the cleaning process will depend on the nature of the item and its material. Guidance from Public Health England and other government agencies confirms that the coronavirus doesn't survive ambient temperatures when exposed for 24 hours to little over a week, depending on the surface it is deposited on.
