ABOUT THE EVENT
Take your pre-loved sportswear for another lap with Chloe Baines Studio. Bring your item into store for a 15-minute consultation, then pick up your upcycled garment just 24 hours later.
The service price is £20 with all proceeds donated to charity.
UPCYCLING SERVICES:
1 - Star treatment
Upcyclists will apply stars to your item using appliqué techniques. Stars will range in size, colour and fabrics and some will include prints of iconic sports moments. This service works on a rage of items including shirts, T-shirts, jerseys, tracksuits, denim and shorts. You will have the opportunity to suggest colour and placement preferences and upcyclists will help advise on final styling.

Chloe Baines is a Coventry-born fashion designer and creative based in London. A specialist in upcycling, they’re most known for upcycling tents left at
festivals. They aim to implement positive change and make ethical and sustainable fashion practices accessible. Most recently, they’ve facilitated workshops and have taught on upcycling practices as well as working on several community projects on inclusivity and sports.
2 - Collage club edit
Upcyclists will patchwork and appliqué various sports badges, numbers and letters ontoyour item to create distinct collages and motifs. This service works on a rage of items including hoodies, sweatshirts, T-shirts, jerseys, tracksuits, denim and shorts. You will have the opportunity to suggest colour and placement preferences and upcyclists will help advise on final styling.

Jonty Kristian Mellmann is a fashion designer from Buckinghamshire, England who collages pieces together to make new narratives; transforming deadstock materials, recycled fabrics and charity shop finds into reworked one-off must-haves with a rave-core flavour.
3 - Manager‘s shirt fix-up
Upcyclists will sew a sportswear tie into customers unloved shirts. Customer will have the opportunity to suggest team, colour and placement preferences and upcyclists will help advise on final styling. Please bring in shirts only.

Sophie Hird is a Designer from Darlington, County Durham, now based in London. Her work focuses on upcycling sportswear and reducing the amount of unwanted garments ending up in landfill. Her 2019 graduate collection prides itself in being completely upcycled from football jerseys and her work continues to explore sportswear and sustainability in new contexts.
This event is supported by Oxfam. Upcyclists will use scraps from sportswear donated by Oxfam from their warehouse. All ticket proceeds will be donated to Oxfam.
Please note: None of these services are specific to menswear or womenswear. Some items might be cut and will be sewn into. Upcyclists will explain the process to customers.
