The cherry blossom symbolises both renewal and ephemerality. As a designer, Shaun Leane explores the more thoughtful – and often darker – side of beauty, and so the delicate pink flower that blooms and fades within a few weeks is a perfect subject for the British designer. By casting the Cherry Blossom Hook earrings with precious diamond-studded enamelled blooms set in spikes of rose-gold vermeil, he toughens up the gentle flower.
