Frilled-trim cotton-jersey and tulle midi dress

The inevitable sleepless nights that come with having a new-born were fresh in Simone Rocha’s mind when designing the SS22 collection – she had just given birth to her second child, after all. That explains the slightly dishevelled side of the pieces as well as their childlike charm. Balancing a bit of both is this midi dress, which sits somewhere between a nightie and a little girl’s frock with its loose-fitting cotton-jersey silhouette overlaid with a frilly layer of sheer tulle. Note the embroidered bows that trim its scalloped hem – another nod to the mother-daughter relationship.
