Tomatin dates back to the 15th century when drovers, bringing their cattle over high mountain passes to the market at Tomatin, filled their flasks from a still at the Old Laird’s House beside the current distillery buildings. Still located in the Monadhliath Mountains, the modern distillery uses the soft Alt-na-Frith waters to produce its distinctively rich, mellow drink. The 14-year-old bottling is matured in a combination of bourbon barrels and port casks, producing a sweet, smooth tipple with notes of honey, toffee and red berries.
