Since its inception, Maison Boucheron has been fixated with animals: the master jeweller itself says that nature is “an inexhaustible source of inspiration”, with each of the house’s creatures acting as a talisman that brings protective powers to the wearer. One of its most iconic beasts? The Serpent Bohème; far from its real-life counterpart, though, the Parisian label’s iteration uses a pear-shaped pendant set with a single malachite stone to reinvent the snake’s head, suspending it from a slinky 18-carat yellow-gold chain for this necklace.
