Less a fashion label, more an environmental project, the brand is on a mission to protect our seas and the millions of species that live within them. Since 2012, Parley for the Oceans has crafted a range of inventive and attractive garments using recovered plastic – with 100% of proceeds going to help its ocean clean-up initiatives. Parley products are brought to life through the brand's unique Ocean Plastic process. Sea-borne waste is intercepted, cleaned up and transformed into durable, covetable items that are better than brand new. The recycled Ocean Plastic sunglasses, for instance, are as fashionable and functional as they come, sporting subtle pastel colouring and smart, modern silhouettes. Its totes, too, are crafted with a keen aesthetic eye, sporting as they do marine-themed graphic prints. That each is made from around five intercepted plastic bottles is a very welcome bonus.
