Did you know that a Selfridges toy Selfridges provided the original inspiration for Paddington Bear teddy bears? Michael Bond, the creator of the marmalade-loving character, said the idea struck him on a Christmas Eve shopping trip when he spotted a lonely-looking bear in our toy shop. In our collection, you can find your very own Paddington to take home and adopt.

Paddington bear soft toys are the sort of childhood memento that tots are likely to treasure forever. Adored since the mid-50s by generations of children and adults alike, Paddington is surely one of fiction's most instantly recognisable characters. Many of our Paddingtons are complete with the signature red felt hat and blue duffel coat. Some also feature embroidered PB" initials and the famous "Please look after this bear" brown paper label others are based around typical London icons such as buses and taxis.
