Before founding Rooted Spices in 2018, Rachel Walker spent a decade working as a food writer and editor – a role which took her to places as far-flung as Mongolia and the fragrant, colourful spice markets of Samarkand. She wanted to make the vivid, flavourful seasonings she came across en route accessible to everyone, and so the brand was born. Its Starter Spice Set contains everything you’ll need to set up a kitchen (or refresh a tired spice cupboard), from chilli and pepper to smoky paprika and sweet cinnamon.
