Approaching Israeli wine with an Australian attitude, Tal and Nir Pelter opened the Pelter estate in 2001. But by 2012, the estate’s kosher wine was born at the Matar winery. 1000 metres above sea level in the Golan Heights, the land gives a slow, gentle maturation to the grapes, making wines like this Cumulus a diverse expression. Characterised by a minty tone, hints of cassis and blackberry embolden the palate.
