A document dating back to 1763 gives The Glenturret the confidence to name itself Scotland’s oldest working distillery, and even hundreds of years ago it had a reputation of being “remarkably traditional”. Today, with a completely new range helmed by Bob Dalgarno, the distillery still sources its water from the rushing River Turret. This whisky has been carefully handled in small batches over 12 years where it slowly adopted the quiet presence of its oak cask home.
