"Not a novelty flavour, but proper rum," reads the admiring review of one impressed rum connoisseur. It's true, we have to admit – the La Hechicera Serie No.2 bottling note is a delectable 'ron' – as the fiery liquor is called in the family-run Barranquilla distillery – and it's one of Colombia's finest. A top-quality tipple that's silky smooth on the palette, it's balanced with tropical ripe bananas, smoky tobacco and cocoa and a pinch of salt.
