Issey Miyake’s posthumous SS23 collection was a tender tribute to its founder’s futuristic spirit, shaping origami-like pleats into sculptural creations and serpentine silhouettes. Seeking inspiration in the sinuous form of sculptures, the latest line-up included the Torso coat, which, as Vogue Runway states, “was crafted in single pieces of fabric manufactured to look solid to the eye—like a piece of carved marble—but to move fluidly against the body."
