Festive Christmas plum pudding with a brandy caramel centre 800g

Tied up with fabric and topped with a bow, our Selfridges Selection plum pudding will make just as delightful a gift as it would the last course of a Christmas meal. Made by Matthew Walker in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire, UK, this rich, spiced pudding is packed with fruit (think raisins, sultanas, prunes and glace cherries), drizzled with brandy and reveals a luscious caramel sauce centre. Oh, and don't forget the glittered orange slice on top.

Remove all outer packaging and acetate Lid



To Steam: Leave in ceramic basin and cover top with foil. Place the basin in a steamer over boiling water and steam for 2 hours. Ensure that water does not enter the pudding. Do not allow the steamer to boil dry.



To Microwave: Run a knife gently around the outer edge of the pudding to loosen before heating, invert the ceramic basin onto a microwaveable plate and heat on Full Power: 750w / 850w for 2½ minutes, stand for 2 minutes, Heat on full power for a further 2 minutes. Allow to stand for 2 minutes before serving.
