The best thing about running Fenty Beauty?
“Getting free sh*t.”
Which achievement are you especially proud of?
“My kids. My edges. And my ability to sniff out people for exactly who they are, and what they are made of!”
How did you get Fenty Hair off the ground?
“I wanted a clean, vegan brand in environmentally friendly packaging with healthy hair and great styling results at the forefront. We took our time developing Replenicore-5 with some of the leading experts and most progressive chemists in the industry. This five-in-one proprietary complex lives in each product we’ve created to ensure hair repair in every step. We’ve also done extensive testing on every hair type imaginable. This obviously took years, but it was worth it.”
What’s on your mind for Savage X Fenty right now?
“Expansion! Savage isn’t just lingerie anymore. A lot of times, when people think of Savage, they see a brand that’s exclusive to lingerie, which we do very well, but Savage is more than that. Our goal is for Savage to be a part of every occasion! From the wildest lingerie to the simplest, cosiest everyday go-to pieces.”
Describe how beauty has been a form of self-expression in your life.
“It’s the exact place I go to express how I feel. My skin, hair, make-up will tell it all. My mood will usually speak for itself.”
Let’s talk business. You recently named a new CEO of Savage X Fenty. How’s that going?
“Well, I’m still THE BOSS, HAHA! But bringing on Hillary [Super] was crucial for the vision and goals that I have for this brand. We both possess the skill sets that are necessary, and, so far, we make a great team.”
